How money works

Three lines on the bill, not one blur

The workspace

Included

Create your company's portal, invite your people, set branding, groups and admin roles. No seat fee from Motion for the workspace itself while you get started.

Your AI

Billed by your provider

You bring Anthropic, OpenAI, Mistral, Gemini or another OpenAI-compatible provider and your own API key. Usage is billed to your company by that provider — Motion never holds a key of its own.

Apps in the store

Set by each publisher

Motion's own apps are included with the workspace. Third-party apps show their price as the publisher writes it ("Free", "€3 per user a month"…); billing stays between you and them.

For publishers

Expand your market without rebuilding

List an app you already ship. Motion users and your other users share the same product; you write how companies on Motion pay for it, and Motion lists that wording without billing it for you.

Your AI key stays yours

Administrators paste the key in Administration → AI. It is sealed at rest, checked once before it is kept, and never shown again — only its last four characters.

Anthropic, OpenAI, Mistral, Gemini, or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint
Models chosen per task: assistant, reading, light work
Without a key, AI features stay off (the assistant can answer in demo mode)

Questions

What people ask before they start

Is there a Motion subscription today?: Not yet. You create a workspace, connect your AI and install the apps you need. When Motion introduces a platform plan, your administrators will see it in the portal first.
Who bills for a store app?: Its publisher. Motion shows the price on the app's page and reviews each release; it does not collect that money for them.
What do we pay for Motion AI?: Nothing to Motion. You choose the provider and models in Administration → AI; every call uses your key and appears on that provider's invoice.
Can we try before inviting the whole company?: Yes. Create a workspace, install a few apps, invite a small team. Demo accounts can be turned off when real data goes in.
